Hi, I'm Mrs. Hambro and I've been teaching at H.E.L.U.S. since 1991. I also taught in Michigan and Texas before coming to California. I've taught grades TK-6 in my career so far. Currently, I've been teaching TK/K combo classes in the past several years. My own children are H.E.L.U.S. alumni. It is my privilege to be your child's teacher!

School is in session today!

Dear HELUS Families,

The power has been restored at the school. The current information we have is that it could be shut off again at 3:00pm Friday afternoon. As a precaution, we will open school, and ask all families to arrange to have their children picked up at 2:40pm. ELOP will not be open after school tomorrow.

We have been in contact with LA County Office of Education and Southern California Edison to ask for help mitigating the impact of the power outages on the school. I will let you know what we learn. We are anxious to solve this issue so that kids can come to school every day.
